Living Waters Church holds personal data about individuals for general church administration and communication. We acknowledge a responsibility in our treatment of your personal data. Whether digital, on paper or any other form, this data is subject to the requirements specified in the General Data Protection Regulation 2017.

General Data Protection Regulation

Living Waters Church endorses the eight principles of the GDPR in relation to all personal data that is aquired, stored and processed. Church staff and any other individuals who would have due reason to access this data are required to adhere to the 8 Principles of the GDPR.

In summary, personal data collected:

1. will be processed fairly and lawfully.
2. will have specified purposes.
3. will be relevant and not excessive to the intended purposes.
4. will be accurate and kept up to date.
5. will not be kept longer than necessary for the intended purposes.
6. will be processed in accordance with the rights of the data subject.
7. will be kept secure using appropriate levels of technical and organisational measures.
8. will not be transferred to a country or territory outside the EEA unless that country or territory ensures an adequate level of protection for the rights and freedoms of data subjects in relation to the processing of personal data.

How We Collect Data and Personal Information

Personal information is usually collected by Living Waters Church as a response to your contact or involvement with the church. For example, when you:

• Register for a ChurchSuite account;
• Register interest or attendance for church events/activities;
• Provide your details to the church for office and staff usage;
• Donate (tithes/offerings);
• Purchase services, resources or events, which includes the use of the iZettle credit or debit card machine;
• Make general communication with the Church eg. email, letter, telephone;
• Access our website/s or social media channels such as Facebook, YouTube etc.

Confidentiality

Living Waters Church considers your personal information to be private and confidential. We will not disclose your information to anyone other than the leadership, staff, or team coordinators for the purposes of church ministry and day-to-day function. The only time this is not the case will be in exceptional circumunstance, for example when we are legally required to do so.

We do not sell any of your personal information to any other organisations and/or individuals.

We will not pass your personal information to any other organisations and/or individuals without your express consent. The only exceptions to this are:

1. When it is for use in systems that are for church activity or function, and under the usage and monitoring of staff or an appropriate church individual. For example, systems such as MailChimp that may be used by Living Waters for sending emails.
2. When reporting to Elim headquarters, for example in the case of submitting your donations that have been allocated as Gift Aid.

By providing us with your details you are giving the Church your express permission to transfer your data to service providers including mailing houses, such as MailChimp, to enable fulfilment of the purpose for collection.

Use of Personal Information

Living Waters Church will use your data for three main purposes:

1. Church function; e.g. pastoral care, rota generation for those who serve, financial recording of supporters.
2. Church marketing; e.g. church services, events and related resources.
3. Analysis; so we can better understanding the people of the church and how we can serve you better.

Church Management System

Living Waters Church uses a central online management system known as ChurchSuite. It can be accessed through any device with internet access. The servers are hosted by ChurchSuite and are located in the UK. The system is accessed via usernames and passwords, which are set by the individual. Only those who have due need to access the administration areas or contact directory have access to these facilities, such as the pastors, staff and team leaders. All other individuals within church membership or attendance have the ability, should they wish, to maintain there own account in the system and utilise the facities such as viewing their rotas and booking onto events.
